In a unique and collegial setting designed to encourage sharing of perspectives, the LLI Forum & Keynote Dinner provides a remarkable opportunity for you to meet and connect with national patient safety thought leaders and peers from across health care and to signal your support for the Institute’s mission.

Afternoon Forum:

The afternoon event consists of a keynote that will feature a panel of speakers discussing the results of the Public Opinion Poll. Simulations will also provide insight into the current and potential future state of board meetings at health care organizations.

 

We are pleased to welcome the following afternoon keynote panelists:

  • Susan Edgman-Levitan, PA, Executive Director of the John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital
  • David Michaels, Former Assistant Secretary, OSHA
  • Charles Vincent, PhD, MPhil, Professor of Psychology, University of Oxford, Emeritus Professor of Clinical Safety Research, Imperial College, London
  • Moderator: Tejal K. Gandhi, MD, MPH, CPPS, President, Lucian Leape Institute, Chief Quality and Safety Officer, Institute for Healthcare Improvement

Reception & Keynote Dinner:

The evening event consists of a networking reception and dinner, with a keynote address. This year, we are pleased to welcome keynote speaker:

 

Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS

 

Dr. Bibbins-Domingo is the Lee Goldman MD Endowed Chair in Medicine and Professor of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is director of the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, a research center focused on discovery, implementation, policy and advocacy, and community engagement for populations at risk for poor health and inadequate health care.


Dr. Bibbins-Domingo is a recognized expert in evidence-based prevention in both clinical and public health settings. She is a past Chair of the US Preventive Services Task Force, an inducted member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the National Academy of Medicine, and a practicing general internist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
